Executive committee 2023   (JANUARY-DECEMBER) 

Executive Committee members ensure that every meeting that you attend is memorable. The panel of EC are advised by experienced toastmasters (counsellors).

1. PRESIDENT - Gourica Vij
 

ROLE - The club president opens and presides over every club, business, and executive committee meeting. This means the president takes charge of the proceedings and keeps the agenda moving forward. President is expected to manage procedural matters in the conduct of the meeting and to apply parliamentary procedure.

2. VICE PRESIDENT EDUCATION - Srina Bose + Riddisha Mittal

ROLE - VP Education is the club's chief scheduler and the primary expert on education awards, speech contests, and the mentor program. An important source of Toastmasters knowledge for club members, and it is their job to become familiar with the inner workings of Toastmasters education program.
3. VICE PRESIDENT MEMBERSHIP Yashi Garg

ROLE- The Vice President (Membership) of New Delhi Gavels Club encourages guests to join the club and some members who have not been attending recent meetings to come to the next club meeting. They also answer any questions guests have about the club.
4. VICE PRESIDENT PUBLIC RELATIONS Gurshaan Singh+Pianshi Bansal
 

ROLE- The Vice President (Public Relations) maintains the club website and publicize the club and invite and encourage them to join the club.

5. SECRETARY Amrita Kaur Arneja + Jayati Maurya

ROLE- The secretary maintains all club records, manages club files, handles club correspondence, and takes the minutes at each club and executive committee meeting. They are also the in charge of updating and distributing a roster of the current paid membership and keeping the club officer list current

.

6. TREASURER - Bhavika
ROLE- Treasurer is the club’s accountant. He/she manages the club’s bank account, writing checks as approved by the executive committee and depositing dues and other club revenues. He/she are also the in charge of submitting membership-renewal dues to World Headquarters (accompanied by the names of renewing members), filing necessary tax documents, and keeping timely, accurate, up-to-date financial records for the club.

7. SERGEANT AT ARMS - Devansh Singh

ROLE- The Sergeant at Arms keep track of the club’s physical property, such as the banner, lectern, timing device and other meeting materials. He/she arrives early to prepare the meeting place for members and stays till late to stow all of the club’s equipment. He/she is also the in charge of the meeting place itself, obtaining a new space when necessary and maintaining contact with the people who allow you to use the space for our club meetings.

8. IPP and Club Quality Officer - Mannat Kaur

ROLE- Before Club Meetings

Assess members’ requirements – particularly those of new members and check if they have spoken to their mentors or if needed talk to new members who are performing roles for first time.

During Club Meetings

Observe the club proceedings carefully and at the end of the meeting share your suggestions if any, and discuss with the club EC ways to make continuous small improvements.

Outside Club Meetings

Work with the executive committee to ensure a quality meetings.
